Did you know that reading to your baby is important? You are teaching him/her about communication and building listening, memory and vocabulary skills. The more stories you read aloud, the more words your baby is exposed to - and the better he/she will be able to talk. Your voice, with the emotions you convey and the expressions you use, foster social and emotional development. Perhaps most importantly, you are creating a closeness between you and your child through a shared love of words and reading.  That's why the physicians at Conyers Pediatrics have started a Books for Babies program, providing a new book for our patients at their 12 month wellness visit.
